Nestled into the Umpqua Forest, Eugene, Oregon is a very busy college town that bustles about 24/7. A very rainy urban oasis in the middle of dense green forest. Within this town, among the unsuspecting human race, live vampires, just like anywhere else in the world. Currently staying on the Northern outskirts are a coven of governing vampires dedicated to the keeping of the Code. The Code is the vampire law that all vampires must abide. Of course, there are delinquents.

After a long time of running, Larain was glad that they slowed down abit. Then they stopped for a second. Right then she wished she could see Darius's face, but she couldn't in the dark of the alley at night. He was taking her to his house... Larain was at a loss for words there. "I... I'm fine," she said quickly before they started off running again. She hoped it wasn't too far, because she was starting to get really tired.
Finally they arrived at a small house that they entered. She looked around curiously. It was bigger than the small appartment she currently lived in at the moment. A cat jumped onto Darius's shoulder's by Larain's suprise. It looked so cute curled up on his shoulder. She held her left arm with her right, the limb was aching now that the adrenaline and shock was over with.
"Yeah, that was. But it wasn't as scarry as..." she began to say, but shook her head. "Never mind."
Without a word, Larain made her way to the couch and sat down, a slight limp in her stride. She listened to Darius as she massaged her left leg thoroughly to stop the pain. After a moment of thought, she stopped, and looked up at him, her eyes searching his.
"You knew them? They knew you. They said your name. Why were they after us, after me?" She said suddenly. Her voice was quiet, but strong, ever after the evening's endevours. The first question was more like a statement...

Darius looked at her as she started to talk about them and his name Yeah,I'm kinda known around here he said making way to get his bed ready for her and change the sheets. It was time to do it anyways. He looked back at her knowing and feeling she was full of questions. I'm sorry if they scared you... That's why I had to get you out of the bar. They were going to do it to you there but when we left he knew you were a little more of a void to catch and now... well he's pissed off. he said tucking the sheets on the bed.
The cat jumped off onto the bed and then off to the ground and on its way to get some chow. Darius sighed and looked back over to her. Ask me anything you want. I probably have most of your answers. he spoke looking down to the floor.
His house was simple and a little empty as so it seemed to everyone that came in. For a mans house it was really clean. He sighed and sat on the seat next to his bed waiting for her to ask something as he knew she had to.

Larain thought for a moment, then shook her head, not being able to think of anymore questions. Those were the only questions she really had, and now they were answered. Maybe she had picked the wrong night to go to the club. Her blue eyes looked down thoughtfully. "I'm guessing you've lived here awhile, then. I've only been here a few weeks. I was more sent to this town for rest than coming here of my own will," she said, then trailed off. "But you probably could care less about that."
Carefully she pulled her braid over her shoulder and undid the strap, which she put on her wrist. Then she pulled the braid apart, letting her hair down for the night. Larain ran her fingers through orange locks to make sure all the braid was out. If she didn't let her hair down, it would end up too wavey to handle in the morning. A thoughtfull looks had come over her face. Talking about the accident made her remember, which made her healing limbs hurt slightly again.
"Do you happen to have any pain releiver like asprin?" she asked, standing and putting all her weight on her good knee...

Darius looked at her, well toward her and nodded his head Yeah, I've lived here for about 3 years. It's a nice little town, once you get rid of all the bad people; which I try to do he spoke softly. He cared, he just wasn't used to having this kind of contact with anyone, he was mostly the one that just dropped into help and then roll back out when the time came.
He stared toward her as she took out her hair, he couldn't see it but sure as hell knew what she was doing. I have some clothes in the bathroom. Their mine but something comfy to sleep in. he really hoped she didn't mind wearing his clothes cause he didn't have any woman clothes in the house.
He pored out some cool-aid as it looked and had a drink in the glass, it was really just to contain himself from attacking her. Soon he was done and then put it in the fridge Are you thirsty? he asked wiping off his mouth from the juice he had just been drinking down.
He looked over to a cabnit and grabbed som medicated drugs that would help with pain. He took them and since he was a vampire he needed a stronger dose. So he gave half of his tablet which should knock her out as well. Here he said handing one over.
