Nestled into the Umpqua Forest, Eugene, Oregon is a very busy college town that bustles about 24/7. A very rainy urban oasis in the middle of dense green forest. Within this town, among the unsuspecting human race, live vampires, just like anywhere else in the world. Currently staying on the Northern outskirts are a coven of governing vampires dedicated to the keeping of the Code. The Code is the vampire law that all vampires must abide. Of course, there are delinquents.
Live as a vampire or human in the world of Ashen Nights. Abide by the Code or break it and face the consequences. Create your own coven or your own empire... For the vampire, the whole world is a playground.
Updates June 28th Zo will be gone until July 7 and today is gypsydancer's 18th birthday. Happy Birthday!

The angel lost in hell [For Nicolas] « Thread Started on Jul 7, 2008, 3:38pm »
The girl walked up the library stairs with a silently stated heir of mystique. Dark clothing, pierced brow, and pursed lips formed the very image of a good girl gone bad. She eyed the brass sign as she stepped over the threshold, palm tightening on the strap of her nearly ancient East sport backpack, hoisting it up onto her narrow shoulders as she glanced around for an empty table or chair. She found the place nearly deserted, to her relief, and made her way to a large crimson colored sofa with two oak end tables. She set her things down quietly and made her way toward the sky high book cases. Fingers rose to run across the spines of the thousands of books, scanning their titles. She continued down the "aisle of history" until she found the section devoted to Greek mythology. There she stood, looking upward, reading title after title, fingers moving over the old and new books in what seemed to be a caress of tender love and devotion. She chose a book titled "The God's Of Greece" and returned to her seat, immediately curling her legs under her in the plush sofa and losing herself within the books crinkled pages. She paused as she read a section devoted to Eros, the Greek god of love and passion. A small smile formed on Jaide's lips as she read about him, and she soon found herself lost within the toils of Greece.
||OoC|| Just a lil FYI as far as my RP style, I like to go into personality and appearance once we get into the RP a little bit, it's easier for me to do that then describe her in my opening post xD hope thats OK lol

Nicolas was curious as to why somebody like Jaide was reading a book about Greek Gods. He knew that the hobbies and interests of people these days spanned a much larger variety than they did in his day, but he was still surprised. If he were to see her upon the streets he wouldn't have thought she'd ever curl up in a library. But then his first impressions aren't always the best, nor incredibly accurate to be completely honest. Nicolas hasn't been allowed much socialisation around mortals, his sire not believing he could control himself.
He sat upon one of the tables, sunglasses covering his eyes, protecting them from the rays of the sun that were shining through large windows. They lit the empty table before him, he wasn't writing, he wasn't reading, he'd came to the library for one reason and one reason only. Company. It was all well and good conversing with fellow Vampires, but they lacked the spark of life that made them interesting. The cautious curiousity that all humans seemed to have allured him
He pushed his chair back, standing to his feet in a graceful movement that went unnoticed to everybody within the library. He wore a pair of jeans that were not his own so they were a little long in the leg, scraping across the floor as he walked, though not enough to trip him, his shirt was a plain tee, no fancy patterns for this vampire. He probably wouldn't understand what most of them meant anyway. Anyway, he dropped down unceremoniously onto the chair beside her, probably imposing on her personal space but seemingly not caring as he read over her shoulder, "You know Hera only married Zeus because he raped her, don't you?" He informed her helpfully, not being to help but notice her scent was intoxicatingly alluring. Or maybe he was just hungry, "Greek mythology.. It's full of incest, murder, infidelity and rape.. Why are you so interested in it?"

Her entire body froze as she felt the cushions tug downward slightly in response to the added weight. She did not look up as he spoke to her. She smirked slightly "Yes, what a brilliant excuse for marriage." She mocked coolly, rolling her eyes slightly. "I'm interested in it because... well it's real." She stated, shoulder blades rising and falling in a shrug, eyes slowly shifted to him and her brow once again rose "Whats it to ya?" She questioned coldly, her eyes scanning over his far too perfect form. She shut the book gently, keeping a finger in its pages and adjusting her mass so that she was facing him slightly "So... you have my attention, what do you want?" She questioned, voice taking on a slight tone of impatience, completely unintentional of course. She now waited quietly, free hand raising to brush her auburn locks out of her eyes and behind her ears, painted tips twisting the piercing in her cartilage once before settling in her lap, fingers twiddling with a key chain absentmindedly as she waited for his response.
